Our deepest sympathies go out to the family of David Smith, a longstanding artist in the Dayton area and member of The Fine Art Center. He was very respected in the arts community and generally. When he spoke of people he often preceded their names with “my good friend….” And there were many ‘good friends’. You can see his obituary at:http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/dayton/obituary.aspx…
We will miss David. See a small sample of his art on display at The Fine Art Center.
The 20th Annual Accessible Expressions Ohio Exhibit, is on display at The Fine Art Center from June 1st – July 30th. The Ohio – Accessible Expressions Ohio (AEO) is a statewide, juried, visual arts exhibition and tour adding to the richness of cultural diversity throughout Ohio. Three of the four award winners are at our gallery. The program began in 1996 to challenge perceptions and raise awareness about disability, and the abilities of every citizen. Artwork is for sale, with proceeds going back to the artist. For more information visit www.vsao.org/aeo., So mark your calendars and stop by during the show!
